I serve as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in joint affiliation with the department of Human-Centered Design at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi, commonly known as IIIT-Delhi. I am also associated with Infosys Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Centre for Design and New Media.
I am experienced in human-robot interaction and affect recognition using physiological signals. As a researcher, I enthusiastically investigate how social robots and empowering machines with adaptive interaction ability can improve the quality of life in health and social care. My research has been disseminated in several journals and conferences of international reputation, including IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing, Biomedical Signal Processing and Control, International Journal of Social Robotics, IEEE International Symposium on Robot and Human Interactive Communication. Till date, I have authored 1 European Patent and 10+ research articles.
As a teacher, I educate about human-robot interaction and affective computing. I strongly believe that being a teacher also allows me to inspire and to learn from some of the best minds of the younger generations simultaneously.
